Driving the Future of High Power Charging
We are accelerating the global transformation towards sustainable mobility. We are breaking down barriers by thinking about charging technology in a practical and connected way. Our goal: fast, convenient charging with the highest safety standards.
WHAT WE DO
Charging technology for e-mobility
We develop charging technology for sustainable mobility. We are best known for our CCS charging cables, in particular our liquid-cooled charging connectors for ultra-fast high power charging (HPC).

With CHARX, Phoenix Contact E-Mobility offers a complete portfolio of powerful charging technology components for the rapidly growing e-mobility market, both for the electrification of vehicles and for setting up modern charging infrastructure.
The portfolio ranges from private AC home charging stations to public CCS fast charging stations.

Our products
Supply, charge, and protect
From the charging station to the electric vehicle: Our powerful CHARX products have been specially developed for demanding e-mobility applications and cover all essential functions.
We offer:
- AC/DC charging cables
- AC/DC charging controllers
- DC power electronics and distribution
- AC infrastructure charging sockets
- Vehicle charging inlets and controllers
- Billing service for private home charging stations

Charging technology for the global market
North American Charging Standard (NACS)
The North American Charging Standard (NACS) is gaining momentum and will replace the CCS Type 1 charging standard in the long term. NACS will therefore play a central role in the electrification of the transport sector and the ramp-up of charging infrastructure in North America.
As a specialist in e-mobility charging technology, we offer SAE-compliant and UL-certified NACS charging cables that meet particularly high standards.

Charging technology for the global market
Megawatt Charging System (MCS)
MCS is to become an internationally standardized fast charging system for heavy utility vehicles and enable charging powers of up to 3.75 MW. Since the CharIN-MCS task force was founded in 2018, we have been working on defining requirements for the development of the MCS charging standard.
We expect to offer corresponding MCS charging cables and, in the medium term, MCS vehicle charging inlets in the usual high Phoenix Contact quality at the beginning of 2026.
Thinking the mobility and energy revolution together
Accounting for around a third of total energy consumption, the mobility sector has the potential to significantly accelerate the energy revolution. The key to success is sector coupling.
With sector coupling, energy flows can be combined across sector boundaries and viewed holistically. The aim is to make sufficient energy available everywhere – at the right time and in the right place. We call this vision of the future: An All Electric Society.

The experts who know how to bring different sectors together are our colleagues from the Phoenix Contact Group.
Together, we see e-mobility for what it is: a collective project that requires intelligent networking of all players. From the automotive and energy sectors to industry, from politics to the public and end consumers. Together, we want to accelerate the mobility and energy revolution!
What our customers say
Global charging station manufacturers as well as well-known manufacturers of electric vehicles in the passenger car and utility vehicle sectors use our components and solutions.
They value maximum safety, reliability and robustness in combination with sophisticated features and unrestricted user comfort. Read for yourself.
